THE OVER 50s ASSOCIATION
Support, advice, and practical help for senior Australians in work or active retirement.
Welcome!
This site gives a background to the history of the Over 50s organisation, the advantages of becoming a member and how businesses can take out corporate membership for additional advantages to their employees.
Learn how our advocacy division can take up issues on behalf of the members with the appropriate authorities, and how it can assist those who have been prematurely retired to obtain meaningful employment once more.
At the Special General Meeting, the members voted overwhelmingly in favour of the amended constitution as recommended by the Board. This new constitution comes into immediate effect
.

We are pleased to announce that we have
been awarded a grant from the Victorian State Government for a project to train
45 mature people (that’s between 55 and 65) into part- or full-time positions in
the retail travel industry. The project is part of the Government’s Experience
Counts initiative. It’s planned that some of these positions will be in larger
Victorian regional centres, with the majority spread across the Melbourne
metropolitan area. Two three-week training sessions will begin in late November 2008 and
late January 2009. If you want to find out more about the project, contact Grace
